I am a new AG Tuber. I love dolls, as all AG Tubers do. I love making videos with my dolls, as all AG Tubers do.
But who am I really? What's my story——my back story, the story behind my videos and my great love of dolls? What separates ME from the rest of the group? What separates me from the rest of AG Tube?
HOW DID I DISCOVER AMERICAN GIRL DOLLS?
How about if we travel back several years, back to the year 2004, when I was much younger. My mother had known about American Girl dolls for quite a long time before then——before 2004. But she had never bothered to buy one. After all, she was an adult and did not have time to play with dolls. But now I was growing older. She realized this and took her first chance at buying an American Girl doll. This doll was JLY 24. She had wavy, dirty-blonde hair, deep brown eyes, and straight eyebrows. She was simply beautiful. When she arrived at my house, my mother and I opened the American Girl package together and took out the beautiful doll. I named her Katie, and started to play with her quite often.
But I wasn't exactly what you would call "old enough" for such fancy, expensive dolls. After a few weeks of playing with the gorgeous Katie, I stashed her away. Eventually, she was packed up and stored up on the top shelf of a closet in my house. Katie stayed there for about two-and-a-half years.
One day, toward the end of 2006, I was looking through an American Girl doll catalog. I had completely forgotten about Katie. In fact, I no longer cared about her. Even when I looked through the AG catalog, I didn't care about her. I showed no affection for Katie——none at all.
But then I looked at a picture of the new historical doll, Emily Bennett. I stared at her face for hours on end, and I read every single word of her description. Her dress was beautiful; her hair was beautiful; EVERYTHING about her was beautiful. I saw Emily, and I thought to myself, "I need this doll. She is perfect." So I told my parents about Emily, begging to have her for Christmas that year. I begged and begged and begged, obsessed with Emily's beauty.
And that year on Christmas morning, I ran over to our Christmas tree to find Emily——and many of her outfits——right there waiting for me.
I played with Emily often. One day I remembered Katie, sitting up there in the closet. I asked my mother to take her down, so Emily could have a friend. Katie's eyes were kind of messed up then, but she was still beautiful. Looking at her, I decided to rename her May——May Sports. I played games with May and Emily from then on, finally discovering the true beauty in American Girl dolls.

From then on, I collected several more dolls——Laura Bridges, JLY 25 (2007), Ruby Matthews, JLY 23 (2009), and Elizabeth Cole (2010). Today, I still have hopes of enlarging my doll collection.
